We have one vacancy for a parent academy committee governor at Tuxford Academy. We would like to hear from parents or carers with fresh ideas, who are interested in joining our friendly committee.
Mrs Henderson recently became a governor and has kindly given a statement about her role:
‘Hello, I’m Rebecca, a stay-at-home mum to five children, including my eldest who is currently at Tuxford Academy. Before stepping back to focus on my family, I was an architect with extensive experience designing schools and creating inspiring learning environments.
Now, I’m passionate about giving back to the community and supporting education in new ways. As a school governor, I bring my professional experience, alongside my involvement as PTA Treasurer and village hall Treasurer, to help make a positive impact.
Being a governor is a rewarding way to support Tuxford Academy and its students. If you’re passionate about education and want to make a difference, I’d encourage you to consider becoming a governor too!’

The closing date for nominations is Monday 31 March at 9am.
